5 Scariest Places Around the World

Let me take you to five scariest places around the world this Halloween. From Australia, Czech Republic, Paris and other countries, see where they are and maybe, just for fun, decide to visit each one someday.

1. Gastown, Australia

Gastown-During-Night

Being the oldest neighborhood in Vancouver, Gastown, it’s believed to be one of the scariest places on earth because of the high paranormal activity. Why? They say there are ghosts roaming the old Hotel Europe, Waterfront Station and the Blood Alley.

2. Tower of London

london

It is said to be haunted by the souls of famous people like Thomas Becket, Princes Edward V and Richard of Shrewsbury, Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard who all met their fate at the tower of London.

3. Paris Catacombs

paris

This is where the remains of about six million people can be found. Tourists can visit it starting at the entrance of Place Denfert Rochereau.

This small chapel have the remains of about 70,000 people wherein the bones were arranged in an artistic fashion like bone chandeliers and garlands of skulls. Weirdly scary, right?

During the construction of this 258-mile railway or known as the Death Railway in Thailand, more than 90,000 construction workers and 16,000 prisoners of wars died.

  2. Hi Jackie! Yes! Me too! I would to see them in person. I’ll’ probably be so scared too. Hi Louise! I’m curious about that scary railway too and maybe I’ll get to try it in the future. Btw what is GFC or Bloglovin’? I hope to hear from you again. 🙂

  3. I’ve always had a morbid fascination with the Paris Catacombs after seeing it featured on the now-defunct show Scariest Places on Earth that Linda Blair hosted back in the early 2000’s. Imagine being down there in a labyrinth-like maze and no light. Afraiiiid!
